One Script, Every Language, Nothing Broken

One Script, Every Language, Nothing Broken

Localize from one master script kept outside the tool, so timing, on-screen text, dates and pronunciation survive every language.

Translate the script, not the video. A translated sentence runs twenty to
thirty percent longer or shorter than the source, so everything you timed to
the original moves.

Before a word is translated:
- Lock the source version and get it approved. After this point every change
costs you the change multiplied by the number of languages, and each of those
is a full re-render of that language's video.
- Keep the script in a document outside the tool: one row per scene, one column
per language. That document is the master; the video is a render of it.
- Mark what must NOT be translated - product names, interface labels the user
will see in the original language, legal entity names - before a translator
  has to guess.

Building the localized versions:
- Give a long translation its own scene instead of speeding the voice up. A
rushed read is the tell that a video was localized on the cheap.
- Translate the on-screen text as well. A localized voice over source-language
captions is the most common half-done job, and it looks worse than shipping
  in one language.
- Localize dates, currency, units and phone formats, not only the words.
"12/06" is two different days depending on who is watching.
- Use one voice per language and keep it across the series. A narrator who
changes between videos reads as a different company.
- Listen to every product name and acronym in every language. Where it comes
out wrong, respell it phonetically in that language's row.

For a right-to-left language, build ONE scene and look at the render before you
build twenty: check that on-screen text runs the correct direction, that
punctuation sits at the correct end of the line, and that digits inside a
sentence are not reversed. Judge it in the output, not in the input box.

Last: one native speaker watches each language end to end before it ships.
Machine translation fails at register, not vocabulary - it will be correct and
far too casual for a compliance video.

1. Open the tool and start a new conversation, project or template.
2. Paste the text below wherever the tool keeps standing instructions
   — usually called system prompt, instructions, or persona.
3. Save it so it applies to every run rather than a single message.
