Style Prompt That Controls the Mix
Writing the style field so the arrangement, tempo and vocal come out as intended.
What it is for
The style field, not the lyrics, decides the arrangement, the tempo and the voice. This covers writing it so those come out as intended, and which words in it are doing nothing.
The skill
The style field is not a genre label — it is a production brief. Write it as one, comma-separated, most important first. Order that works: `<genre>, <tempo in bpm>, <key or mood>, <lead instrument>, <rhythm section>, <vocal type>, <production era or texture>` Example: `downtempo persian pop, 92 bpm, minor, santur lead, soft brushed drums, male baritone vocal, warm analogue tape` Rules: - Name a bpm. Without one the tempo drifts between generations and nothing cuts together. - Name the vocal explicitly, including "instrumental" if you want none. Left unsaid, it varies. - One era word only. "80s synthwave lofi modern" cancels itself out. - Put anything you must have FIRST. The tail of the field has visibly less influence than the head. For lyrics, use the structure tags — `[Verse]`, `[Chorus]`, `[Bridge]` — and keep lines short. Long lines get compressed into a rushed melody.
