Generated Scenes You Don't Delete Tomorrow

Prime the voice, generate one beat at a time, cut the last paragraph, and say out loud what must not happen yet.

What it is for

Left to itself the model resolves the conflict early, summarises, and drifts away from your voice within two passes. This is the beat-by-beat drafting loop — prime with your own hundred words, name what must not happen yet, cut the tail, edit before generating again. Use it whenever you are drafting new scenes rather than revising old ones.

The skill

Never generate into an empty page. Write the first hundred words of the scene
yourself — the model copies the voice directly in front of it, and an empty
page means it copies its own.

Work one beat at a time, two to four hundred words. Before each pass, state in
one sentence what happens in this beat and what must NOT happen yet: "They
argue about the money. She does not tell him about the letter."

That second half is the whole trick. Left alone, a model resolves conflict as
fast as it can — apologies, confessions and reconciliations arrive three
chapters early, because resolution reads like completion.

Cut the last paragraph of every generation. It is almost always the tidy
summarising one, closing a door you wanted left open.

Take a sentence, not a page. Accept the two lines that surprised you, rewrite
the rest in your own hand, then generate the next beat from your edited text.
Generating from generated text compounds the drift; generating from your own
prose pulls it back each round.

Stop when the output starts summarising — "they talked for hours", "the weeks
that followed". That is the signal the beat is finished and you have run past
it.

If a pass comes out flat, the beat was vague. Do not raise the length and do
not reroll five times: add the concrete thing the scene is about — an object, a
lie, a decision — and go again.

Read everything you accepted aloud before moving on. Machine prose passes
silently on screen and fails immediately in the mouth: no contractions,
everyone speaking in the same register, four sentences of identical length.

How to install it

1. Open the tool and start a new conversation, project or template.
2. Paste the text below wherever the tool keeps standing instructions
   — usually called system prompt, instructions, or persona.
3. Save it so it applies to every run rather than a single message.
