Blog Drafts Built Section by Section
Fix the outline before a paragraph is written, then feed every section its own facts. One-click articles repeat themselves.
Do not generate a whole post in one pass. Long output from a short prompt
circles: three sections saying the same thing in different tones, and an
introduction promising something the body never delivers.
Work in three passes.
1. Outline. Generate a few, then rewrite it yourself. Every heading must be a
promise a reader would click, and no two headings may answer the same
question. Fixing the structure here costs a minute; fixing it after twelve
hundred words costs an afternoon.
2. Sections, one at a time. Give each one:
- its heading, and the single question it answers
- what the reader learned in the section before it
- the facts: your numbers, how your product actually behaves, the quote you
are working from
The model cannot see your data. Whatever you do not paste, it invents.
3. Introduction and conclusion last, written from what the piece actually says.
Then do the passes only a human can do:
- Search the draft for repeated sentences and repeated openers. Independently
generated sections echo each other, and that echo is how a reader knows the
post was assembled by a machine.
- Add one thing per section that could only come from you: a number from your
own data, a customer's sentence, a screenshot, an opinion you would defend.
- Check every statistic, date and name. Anything you cannot source, delete —
do not soften it into "studies show".
Keep the outline beside the draft while editing. When a section drifts off its
heading, that is a section to cut, not to expand.
