Grounding It in the Right Documents
Pointing it at specific files instead of the whole tenant, which is what makes the answer wrong.
Wofür es gut ist Auf Englisch
Pointed at a whole tenant it answers from whatever it found; pointed at named files it answers from those. Most wrong answers here are a grounding problem, not a model problem.
Der Skill
Its answers are only as good as what it decided to read. Decide for it. - **Reference files explicitly** with `/` and the file name. An unreferenced prompt searches everything you have access to, which on a real tenant means it will find the 2023 draft as readily as the final. - **Say which version.** "the latest" is not a thing it can evaluate reliably across a SharePoint library with three copies. - **Ask for the source per claim**: "cite the file and slide/paragraph for each point." Then open one. The citation is the product. The failure worth knowing about: it will happily summarise a document you have access to but should not be quoting — an old salary review, an unreleased plan — because access is not the same as appropriateness. Before pasting a summary into a shared channel, check what it drew from. For meetings, ask for "decisions and owners, with the timestamp each was agreed" rather than a summary. A summary blends a suggestion and a decision into one sentence, and that is the sentence that causes the argument.
