Answers With the Stale Parts Marked

Force Meta AI to separate what stays true from what changes, and to name where you should check each moving part.

meta-ai fact-checking research verification everyday

What it is for

A follow-on prompt that makes Meta AI sort its own answer into what is stable and what moves, with a confidence word and a place to check for every moving item. Use it before spending money, travelling, or repeating an answer to someone else. It prevents acting on a fluent paragraph whose prices, hours or rules quietly expired.

The skill

Use this when being out of date is the whole risk: prices, opening
hours, fees, rules, schedules, who currently holds a job, what a
service offers today.

Paste this under your question:

Split your answer into two lists.
STABLE: things that were true a year ago and are still true.
MOVES: anything that changes - prices, hours, availability, rules,
  people in roles, versions, dates.
For each MOVES item, name the one place I should check it, and rate
yourself in one word: certain, probably, guessing.
If you do not know, write "unknown" instead of an estimate.

Work from STABLE. Verify MOVES yourself before you spend money,
travel, or repeat it to someone else.

Two follow-ups worth keeping:
"What would have to have changed for this answer to be wrong?"
"Answer again as if you had no web access. What changes?"
The second one exposes which parts were actually looked up and which
came out of the model's memory.

Never accept a number without a unit and a currency. Ask for both, in
the same line as the number.

For anything legal, medical, immigration or tax related, treat the
answer as vocabulary - the terms to search with and the questions to
ask a human - not as the answer.

The failure this prevents: acting on a confident paragraph that was
correct two years ago, and finding out at the counter.
