The Same Story in Every Feed Shape
Let the tool reflow your video into each ratio, then fix the three things reflow cannot: the footage, the text size, and the last frame.
What it is for
Turns one finished video into the ratios each destination needs, then runs the review pass an automatic reflow cannot do for you: footage still framed for the old shape, text that wraps differently at the new size, and a call to action cropped out of the last frame. Use it before publishing the same video in more than one place. Covers vertical, 4:5, square and wide.
The skill
Export a separate file per destination. One file uploaded everywhere gets padded by the platform, and the bars land exactly where your text was. Build the version that earns the most views first and treat it as the master. For social work that is usually the vertical or the 4:5 tall one; for a site, an email or an embedded player it is the wide one. Produce the other ratios from that master rather than starting each one from scratch - the text and the graphic elements are reflowed into the new shape, which is the part a tool does faster and more evenly than you would by hand. Then review what reflow cannot fix. Footage: - Reflow moves the text. It does not re-shoot the clip. A wide two-person shot fitted into a tall frame is still an elbow. Replace it with a clip framed for the new shape. - Keep the subject away from the edges in the tall versions. Text: - On vertical, keep it inside the middle 60% of the height. The top carries the account name; the bottom carries captions, buttons and the description. - Set it bigger than looks right on your monitor. It is read at a glance while a thumb is already moving. - Re-read every card at the new size. A line that sat on one line wide can wrap to three lines tall and push the rest out of view. Timing: - Cut cards to fit the shorter format; never speed the pacing up. A card that flashes by unread is a card you should have deleted. The two frames that decide everything: - The FIRST frame of the wide version sits as a still thumbnail before anyone presses play. Choose it deliberately. - The LAST frame of every version, checked separately. The call to action sits lowest in the frame, so it is the first thing a new shape pushes out of view. Worth producing: vertical for full-screen feeds, 4:5 where a tall post wins the most screen in-feed, square where the feed crops both ways, and wide for a site, an email or a player.
How to install it
1. Open the tool and start a new conversation, project or template. 2. Paste the text below wherever the tool keeps standing instructions — usually called system prompt, instructions, or persona. 3. Save it so it applies to every run rather than a single message.
