A Deck That Was an Outline First
Giving it structure so it generates slides rather than paragraphs on coloured backgrounds.
What it is for
Given prose it produces paragraphs on coloured backgrounds. Given structure it produces slides. This is how to give it the structure first.
The skill
Paste an outline, not a topic. A topic produces a generic deck; an outline
produces yours.
Write the outline as one line per slide, in this form:
<the point of the slide, as a full sentence> | <what supports it>
For example:
Our checkout loses 30% of users at the address step | funnel chart, Q2 data
The fix is one field, not a redesign | before/after screenshots
Two rules that decide the whole deck:
- **The slide title is the CLAIM, not the topic.** "Checkout conversion" is a
topic and tells the audience nothing. "We lose 30% at the address step" is a
slide. A deck of topics needs a presenter; a deck of claims can be forwarded.
- **One claim per slide.** If the support line has two unrelated items, it is
two slides.
Then generate, and immediately do the pass Gamma cannot: delete the slides that
restate the previous one. Generated decks pad, and padding is invisible while
you are making it and obvious while you are presenting it.
Set the brand colours and font before generating, not after. Restyling
afterwards re-flows every layout.
How to install it
1. Open the tool and start a new conversation, project or template. 2. Paste the text below wherever the tool keeps standing instructions — usually called system prompt, instructions, or persona. 3. Save it so it applies to every run rather than a single message.
