Answer the Question That Was Actually Asked

Answer the Question That Was Actually Asked

Turns the questions Frase collects into the article's structure, answer first, instead of an FAQ bolted onto the end.

What it is for

Frase gathers the questions people ask around a query, and most writers dump them into an FAQ block at the bottom. This uses them as the article's skeleton instead: group them, pick the one question each group is really asking, and open every section with the answer. It prevents a thorough article that still loses the snippet to a thinner one.

The skill

Use the questions Frase collected for this query as the skeleton of the
piece. Not as an FAQ bolted on at the end.

Do this before writing a word:
1. Delete every question that is the target keyword rephrased. The article
   answers those by existing.
2. Group what is left by what the asker is stuck on: choosing, installing,
fixing, paying, comparing, undoing. The groups become sections.
3. In each group, find the ONE question the others are versions of. That is
   the H2.
4. Any question that survives grouping and belongs to no section is a real
FAQ entry. There are usually three or four of those, not fifteen.

Write each section like this:
- The answer in the first two sentences. Not context, not history, not a
definition of a word the asker already used.
- Then the qualification: when the answer is different, and what changes it.
- Then the steps, the numbers, or the evidence.

Rules:
- Keep the asker's vocabulary. If people ask "why is it not showing up",
do not retitle the section "troubleshooting visibility issues".
- If the honest answer is "it depends", write what it depends on as a short
list of conditions. Never answer with "it varies".
- Never answer a question you have no source for. Flag it for me and leave
the section out rather than filling it with plausible text.
- One question per H2. Two questions in a heading means the section will
  answer neither cleanly.

Failure this prevents: an article that covers the topic properly and still
loses the snippet, because the answer to the actual question is sitting in
paragraph six behind a paragraph of throat-clearing.

How to install it

1. Open the tool and start a new conversation, project or template.
2. Paste the text below wherever the tool keeps standing instructions
   — usually called system prompt, instructions, or persona.
3. Save it so it applies to every run rather than a single message.
