Product Copy That Never Invents a Spec
Binds every product claim to a spec field and reports blanks instead of guessing them, so descriptions stop causing returns.
What it is for
Generated product copy invents materials, dimensions and certifications with total confidence, and those inventions turn into returns and compliance problems. This ties every claim to a spec field and reports the blanks instead of filling them. Run it in Describely, the bulk product-content product under the Copysmith brand — Copysmith itself has no app to sign into any more — whenever the description will sit next to a real product a customer receives.
The skill
Where to run this: Describely. Copysmith no longer ships an app of its own — it is the parent brand over Frase, Describely and Rytr, and bulk product content is Describely's job. Each of the three has its own site and its own account. Write the product description from the spec sheet only. A description that invents a material or a measurement comes back as a return. INPUT Product name: [ ] Spec fields — copy them exactly, blanks included: material: [ ] dimensions: [ ] weight: [ ] care: [ ] compatibility: [ ] in the box: [ ] certifications: [ ] Buyer: [who they are, what they compare this against] Length: [word count] RULES - Use only the values above. If a field is blank, do not guess it and do not paper over it with a vague phrase. - For every blank field a buyer would ask about, output a line: MISSING: [field]. - No claims about health, safety, legality, or performance that are not in certifications. - Never write "premium", "high quality", or "durable" on its own. Attach it to a spec value or delete it. - Lead with the use, not the material. Material is proof, not the headline. - One benefit per sentence, so the copy still works when a placement cuts it short. - Do not write a size or fit recommendation unless dimensions are filled in. OUTPUT 1. A hook under 12 words. 2. The description at the requested length. 3. Five bullets, each opening with a spec value. 4. The MISSING list. If the spec sheet contradicts itself, stop and show me the contradiction rather than picking one side.
