The Method, Not the Answer

جواب گرفتن از یک مسئله در جلسه امتحان به کارت نمی‌آید. این روال دو مرحله‌ای اول روش را به صورت کلی و بدون محاسبه می‌خواهد، بعد خودت حل می‌کنی و ابزار فقط اولین خط اشتباه را نشان می‌دهد و ادامه نمی‌دهد. نکته کلیدی این است که بپرسی کدام کلمه در صورت مسئله نوع آن را لو می‌دهد، چون همان چیزی است که سر امتحان باید تشخیص بدهی.

1. Tell me what type of problem this is, and the one clue in the wording
   that identifies it. That clue is what I need to spot in the exam.
2. Give the method as numbered steps in general form, using the symbols of
   this problem, with no arithmetic done.
3. Tell me the two mistakes people most often make with this type, and at
   which step they happen.
4. Stop there.

I will work it through and send you my answer and my full working.

When I do: check my working line by line. Name the first line where it goes
wrong and why, then stop - do not finish it for me. If it is correct but my
method is fragile, say so. If it is correct, give me one variation with
different numbers, and one that looks the same but needs another method.

Rules:
- Name any rule or identity you use; do not just apply it silently.
- Do not round before the last step, and state the units of the answer.
- If my approach is valid but different from yours, say so instead of
  rewriting it your way.

Failure this prevents: a page of correct final answers you cannot reproduce
under exam conditions, because the step you skipped is exactly the step
being tested.
